Wacky Weeds

The Weeds writers must have heard my cries of boredom because at last we finally got an episode worthy of paying attention to! Upon learning that Nancy is having a boy we see Esteban do a complete 180 and become this loving, doting, caring man. What a crock! I am glad he didn't find out she is having a girl or Nancy would have ended up with a bullet to the brain. Now I am not sure if Nancy is in some pregnancy fog but this glassy eyed look she has going on can't just be good acting. I think she has finally taken her on screen business to some real life smokin of the ganja. That look is hard to fake, like some wide eyed doe. Speaking of ganja, when was the last time we actually saw her sell anything? I can ony hope that Nancy is no dummy and is well aware that Esteban is only looking out for himself and that he is using this baby as a way to control her.

While Nancy is preoccupid with baby thoughts, Shane, the youngest son has taken it upon himself to sell pot on his own. He ends up selling to his teacher who later steals it without paying the 4 grand he owed. There have been many warning sign that this kid is NOT ok. I think they are preparing to turn Shane into a a thug. Well as thug like as a skinny white kid can become. Nancy is a shitty mother and because of circumstances (some beyond her control) she has not been there for her kids and I think the dysfunctionality is finally catching up with Shane. I am glad that Silas and Andy seem to be growing on some levels and I wonder if the writers will take a Nancy/Andy romance storyline further. Although I think it is creepy that this is her dead husbands brother, I am hoping we can get a better sense of who Jonas was as the storyline develops, maybe I won't be so leery of this odd romantic pairing.

I have no idea how Esteban will be gotten rid of, I am also left wondering if the FBI agent was killed in this weeks episode. The scene was not clear, we never saw him die and I don't get why Nancy ratted out the drug cartel only to then have the FBI agent she told be murdered. Pick a side woman!
