Burn Notice took us away from the gorgeous beaches of Miami and gave us a back drop unlike any we have seen before. On the run from some major baddies from the past, Michael becomes the client as he is hunted down in the swamps of Miami.Michael Westin out of his typical element was truly a sight to be seen. We often hear stories of things that went down when he was overseas and working for the government, but this time normal explosives and shooting wasn't going to save his hide. He had to use his muscles and brains to outsmart his opponent at every turn. In an added perk he did this dripping in sweat and swampy water. We know Michi can not get enough of THAT!
As wonderful as Jeffrey Donovan played his role, the standing O should go to Madeline, Sharon Gless who stole the spotlight in this episode. Her own version of an Interrogation was brilliant and she had tons of one liners that had me smirking like crazy. It is great to see that she is finally hip to what is going on and even though she may be Michael's mom she isn't going to sit around and take crap from anyone.
The amazing reportire between Fi and Michael continues as Fi uses the opportunity to literally kick some sense into Mikey while they practice some tactical maneuvers.
For anyone who watches the show it is a known fact that Michael and friends are seen eating yogurt all the time. I read that when writers for the show interviewed real special ops guys, many of them mentioned that they eat a lot of yogurt because it was quick to eat and full of nutrients. Writers thought this would be a funny quirk to add to the show and I must agree. It has become an on-going joke that this is all Michael keeps in the fridge and in a very funny scene between Michael and Fiona they swap different flavored yogurt back and forth as they debate their next moves. They are so in sync with each other it's amazing two random people can have such chemistry.
Next weeks teaser left my jaw on the floor when we see that Fi takes a bullet to the chest and it doesn't look like she is wearing any armor.
