Define a lite weight

In this weeks episode of Nurse Jackie we see that when leading a double life there are many things to remember and so many facts to keep straight it is bound to catch up with you eventually. When Jackie forgets her one year anniversary with her beau we wonder how much longer she can keep this up.

It is still unclear why she is leading this double life. Does she have any real feelings for the side dish or is it purely to get drugs to feed her addiction. Why would she cheat on her husband when every time we see him he is viewed as the doting, loving husband taking care of his business, the children and their home. Is there more to the story or is Jackie just one twisted lady?

A part of me is disgusted at the double life Jackie leads but another part can't help but envy Jackie when she takes actions into her own hands that seem to somehow justify the means no matter how "out there" the steps she takes are. I can almost relate to the feeling of wanting to play g-d when you see all the outrageous crap that goes on in the world. Why does it seem that in so many cases the good people get the shit end of the stick and the bad get away unscathed.

In this episode we finally learn more about the people that work with Jackie. It seems that her best friend is well aware of Jackie's double life but is unaware of the drug addiction that Jackie has. When offered a Xanax to relax, Jackie responds that she is such a light weight she better cut it in half. At the same time she pockets half the bottle and later downs them like candy without any water. Lite weight? I think not.
