Why I'd rather be a loner than a social..

Someone please come to my house and pull the plug on my TV, I beg you. I can't stop watching these shows on Bravo TV were kids and/or adults are snotty, materialistic, money hungry and have no concept of what real life is all about. First it started with NYC Prep and now a new show called Miami Social.

The funny thing is, all the qualities I listed above are characteristics I hate most in other people. I think that is where my fascination comes into play. I can not even fathom being that involved with drinking, partying, fashion and such superficial nonsense when there are so many other things in life to concern yourself with. They all seem one dimensional and I am in awe that people out there actually exist like this.

On Miami Social there are 7 main cast members. You may recognize Katrina from the show The Apprentice and Hardy was actually on Season 2 of Big Brother. Oh Hardy, I really liked you on BB why are you stooping so low now. Are we that desperate to get back into reality TV? I remember fondly when that bitch in the BB house used your toothbrush to clean the toilet bowl and never told you. See how all my shows come full circle?

During interviews with the Miami Social cast, if they happen to be dating one particular person, they describe their relationship as volatile at times and also tumultuous. Really? How about loving, caring, mature, nurturing, wonderful, fun? There are so many adjectives to use and those were the words you chose? Why are you in a relationship that is volatile? Some other "lovely" quotes from this disaster: “I’m not straight but I don’t consider myself gay” , “Get the fat girl out of my table” , “So much is based upon your looks….”, “I am probably the most incredible fashion producer here in Miami”. I think these guys need some PR training.

The only credit I can give them is that as hard as they seem to party it appears that they do work as equally hard at their careers. I guess they had to get rich somehow. It is worth giving the show another shot if only to pretend I am on the beautiful beaches of Miami and if I get lucky maybe I will see them filming some episodes of Burn Notice in the background.
