Since Michael Jackson's shocking and sudden passing there has been massive amounts of news coverage on his life and death. Some people feel that he is not someone who is worthy of so much attention while others are so invested in who Michael was that their world is forever changed now that the iconic legend is no longer with us.
To be honest, I have enjoyed Michael's music and am sad that he is no longer with us just as I would be with the death of any celebrity that I enjoyed seeing. Do I think it warrants 24/7 news coverage when the economy is in crisis and we are in various states of war all over the world?, No. At the same time I can relate to the fact that his young children have lost their father and their lives will never be the same again. Anyone who knows me, knows that my own father passed away almost ten years ago and it is something that affects every aspect of every moment in my life.
To his children, Michael was not "the man in the mirror" or the moon walking, white gloved wearing singer, he was just daddy. I did not watch all of the coverage on his Funeral but was able to catch these moving words that his daughter spoke and my heart hurts for this little girl. I think she was so very, very brave to even get up on that stage. I only wish I had that type of nerve. R.I.P. Michael and Prayers and Hugs to Family and Fans who loved him.
