Dear Andy,

When a show is on Season after Season it tends to lose some of the qualities that made you fall in love with it in the first place. The interest waxes and wanes but you try to hold faith that it will come full circle and once again embody everything you enjoyed about it.

This week on Weeds that moment arrived, reminding me of how truly brilliant this show is. I must warn you though, the episode was not for the faint of heart. Filled with off color remarks about abortion and autism--topics that are not essentially funny. Discussed in such a nonchalant manner, if you can put your scruples aside you will laugh your ass off.

Mary Louise Parker (Nancy) and Justin Kirk (Andy) should both have Emmy's in hand for their sensational acting in the latest episode. As Nancy ponders getting rid of the baby and cracks under the pressure of what her life has become, Andy blatantly points out that she has brought this all on herself. Andy desperatly wants to be the one she chooses to lean on and gets money together so the entire family can flee. We are lead to believe she is writing a letter to Esteban telling him she is gone when lo and behold the letter is actually to Andy, and in awesome cinematic photography and editing we find Nancy and Shane on the door steps to Esteban's house with luggage in hand.

Prior to this scene, Shane continues his downward spiral of becoming a teenage thug with the Mexican bodyguard as his mentor. I read a clip for next weeks episode and SPOILER ALERT!! The next episode takes place 6 months later, crazyness!!!
